We at Franke Rentals are really excited about celebrating Independence Day this year, as it is America’s 250th, if you can believe it. If you are planning on celebrating with a journey to South Padre Island, this guide will ensure that you don’t miss out on a single moment of our South Padre Island 4th of July festivities!

America 250 and July 4th

Although we are still considered a young country, it really is hard to believe that it has been 250 years since our forefathers gathered together to sign a declaration that changed our country forever. Texas was still part of Spain in 1776, and South Padre Island wouldn’t even be settled for another 28 years, but we are sure that King Carlos III was watching our country, wondering how our independence might change things. Today, we islanders take pride in being part of Texas and the United States, and our South Padre Island July 4th celebrations will certainly reflect that pride, making it a wonderful place to be when the big day arrives.

Why Spend the 4th of July on South Padre Island?

Independence Day falls on a Saturday this year, giving many hardworking Americans the opportunity to travel somewhere special for the long weekend. Spend your 4th of July on South Padre Island, basking in the serenity of the sea, celebrating at reasonably priced night spots, and relaxing in the comfortable and luxurious holiday hideaways we at Franke Rentals are known for providing. White sands squished between your toes, sea breezes kissing your cheeks, and when darkness falls, fireworks celebrations in the sky that are reflected on the waters below are just some of the things you can expect from a holiday on our Texas island home.

Start Your Celebrations with Brunch

Here’s the thing about a beach vacation. Even during your South Padre Island July 4th celebration, you aren’t going to want to wake up early. You want to sleep in, turning your face away from the sun peeking in the windows and grabbing another hour of sleep. A late brunch at Josephine’s Kitchen is the ideal way to start your holiday celebrations! Their breakfast menu is served all day, ensuring that whenever you wander in, their Cinna-Roll Stack (three buttermilk pancakes swirled with a cinnamon sugar mix and topped with a drizzle of sweet cream) will be ready to devour.
