Spring Break Jam
As mentioned, Spring Break is a popular event here in South Padre Island as it brings about a variety of entertainment. One of the events happening this Spring Break is the Spring Break Jam, South Padre Island’s very own car show. This annual event is one of the island’s most popular ways to celebrate Spring Break. This two-day event features a variety of festivities including the aforementioned car show, a tattoo expo, burnout contest, live entertainment with various musical performances, an after party, and so much more. Spring Break Jam is an all-ages event, but some content may be suited for adults. Come see some incredible vehicles on display including vintage cars and modern remodels. This year’s Spring Break Jam will take place at the South Padre Island Convention Center as usual on April 1st and 2nd. After party details are still to come!
Spring Break Music Lineup
Spring Break on South Padre Island has been a popular college destination for years now. Each year, thousands of college students make their way to the island for a variety of events in South Padre Island, including various musical performances from today’s biggest musical acts. This year is no different, as musical performances will be taking place daily at South Padre Island’s very own Clayton’s Beach Bar & Grill. For 2023 you can see hit acts such as Glorilla, Lil Wayne, Steve Aoki, Kodak Black, 311, and even Diesel aka Shaquille O’Neal. Clayton’s Beach Bar & Grill is a spacious venue, but far from the giant arenas these musical artists typically play. That means you can see a much more intimate performance than usual when you visit for Spring Break. Tickets are also reasonably priced and much cheaper than regular performances when these artists are on tour. Now you have multiple reasons to hit up Clayton’s during every day of your spring getaway.
Thursday Night Laughs
Make sure to show up for your South Padre Island getaway ready for some laughs as Thursday Night Laughs will be taking place all season long. This weekly comedy show will take place at Quarterdeck Lounge here on South Padre Island. Each week will have a 2-hour comedy show hosted by Raymond Orta that is guaranteed to have you reeling on the floor with laughter. You can even stay after the regular show hours to challenge the “Joke of the Night” that will allow you to win up to $100. Don’t miss out on this weekly event this spring!
St. Patrick’s Day at Kelly’s Irish Pub
Each spring you can join in on a worldwide celebration with St. Patrick’s Day. Everyone knows this famous holiday and is always best celebrated with friends nearby. You can join in on the fun when visiting during the spring by spending St. Patrick’s Day at Kelly’s Irish Pub. This local watering hole started South Padre Island’s very own celebration over 10 years ago and the fun keeps on going. You can expect the usual activities such as green beer, a green pancake eating contest, costume contests, Irish singalongs, and so much more. St. Patrick’s Day always takes place on March 17th so you can expect the same fun and excitement to continue at Kelly’s Irish Pub. All of the other local bars and pubs also love to get in on the fun as well so keep an eye out for green beer and drink specials all holiday long across South Padre Island.
